The Middle East conflict has accelerated the diversification of crude oil selection, leading to an increase in the processing of mercury-containing crude oil. Currently, more than 20 mercury removal systems are operating smoothly in Japan. Since the mercury concentration and structure of mercury compounds in crude oil differ depending on the oil-producing country, the development of mercury removal materials suited to the mercury concentration is expected to enable efficient operation of mercury removal systems. We are pleased to announce the development of a mercury removal material suited to the mercury concentration.
