External corrosion is a major cause of leaks in refineries. Identifying potential leak locations requires visual inspection of extensive piping networks. Under limited manpower and time, a more efficient process is needed to find all risk locations and to ensure appropriate corrective actions. This paper presents an visual inspection management application developed to improve inspection efficiency. It also describes its practical use in supporting the identification of leak-prone areas, the planning and management of inspection activities, and the follow-up of required actions.
