In recent years, the development of direct air capture (DAC) technologies for capturing CO2 directly from the air has attracted attention. We have reported that a solid–liquid phase-separation type DAC system, which utilizes the formation of solid carbamic acid from diamines upon CO2 absorption, is highly effective. In this study, we analyzed the structure of carbamic acid formed from isophorone diamine, which enables highly efficient CO2 absorption.
