This study investigates the application of high-resolution rock images acquired at the large synchrotron radiation facility SPring-8 to Digital Rock Physics. Reservoir rock samples were imaged at different spatial resolutions, and pore network models were constructed from the obtained images to evaluate rock properties such as permeability and pore size distribution. The results suggest that image resolution and analysis domain size may influence the estimated properties. Future work will focus on extending the analysis to larger domains, including the whole-sample scale, and on establishing an efficient evaluation workflow that takes advantage of the high-resolution imaging capability of synchrotron radiation.
