Biofuels and synthetic fuels are produced from various materials such as plants, algae, and agricultural industrial wastes and contain many compounds that are not contained in conventional fossil fuels. Among them, oxygenated compounds such as alcohols, esters, and fatty acids have a significant impact on fuel quality and require accurate analysis. In this study, a vacuum ultraviolet absorption spectrometer for GC was used to evaulate the selectivity of several compound types.
