CO2 hydrogenation has garnered significant interest as a key Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) technology to mitigate global warming. This reaction can synthesize long-chain hydrocarbons that serve primarily as raw materials for liquid fuels. Conventional approaches, however, are limited by a low chain-growth capability, hindering the efficient production of high-carbon-chain products. Therefore, in this study, we employed CeO2 and HfO2 which possess crystal structures similar to ZrO2 as supports for K-Fe-based catalysts, and evaluated how their oxygen storage capacities and robust crystal structures influence the overall catalytic activity.
