Yokogawa Digital promotes the concept of “AI-First Manufacturing,” where AI plays a central role in operational decision-making. This presentation introduces the autonomous control AI technology FKDPP (Factorial Kernel Dynamic Policy Programming) and discusses its practical applications in the chemical and oil & gas industries. Through publicly available implementation examples, the presentation highlights how AI-driven operations can contribute to process optimization, operational stability, and autonomous plant operation. The talk also discusses the importance of adopting an AI-first mindset as a foundation for successful digital transformation in manufacturing.
