インプラント治療が広く普及した現在，天然歯とインプラント体が同一口腔内に混在する患者は確実に増加している．インプラント治療後に欠損範囲がさらに拡大した場合には，再治療計画の立案や実行に難渋することも多い．また，入念な経過観察を行っていても，咬合の不調和や新たな欠損の発生は避けられないことも少なくない．本シンポジウムでは，混在によって生じる臨床的事象を整理し，咬合の経時的変化，可撤性補綴装置を含む補綴設計，ならびに終末歯列を見据えた欠損拡大を防ぐための戦略，そして発生時に選択し得る対応オプションについて多角的に議論する機会としたい．
