A radiation detector made of diamond thin films was proposed for neutron detection. To detect neutrons, boron-doped diamond layer was used as a converter, and a prototype detector having boron-doped/undoped stacked structure was fabricated by CVD. Neutron and alpha-particle detection was demonstrated using the prototype detector.
