Mixed-anion compounds are generally considered to be decomposition-melting type, so it is difficult to grow large single crystals by melt-growth method. In our previous presentation, we successfully synthesized single crystal of layered mixed-anion compound Sr2ZnCu2Se2O2. To understand the crystal growth mechanism, we performed thermal analysis and found that Sr2ZnCu2Se2O2 is congruent melting type in closed environment. Therefore, it is expected to grow large single crystals by melt-growth method.
