Biosensing will be more comfortable thorough the utilization of a soft, highly stretchable photodetector which exibits excellent skin conformability and adherence. Our novel approach involves the fabrication of a photodiode with substrate, electrodes, and an active layer, all possessing intrinsic high stretchability. The active layer is composed with intrinsically stretchable organic semiconductor polymer in a bulk heterojunction structure, without insulator. Remarkably, the photodiode exhibited minimal variations in dark current and photocurrent even when subjected to strains of up to 60%.
