Plasmonic nano-vortex fields formed by irradiating metal nanostructures with light "helical light" having spin and orbital angular momenta possess the unique optical and physical properties. Here, we introduce recent advances in theoretical and simulation analyses and trends in experimental research on the plasmonic nano-vortex fields.
