Here we report a controllable synthesis of monodispersed π-SnS QDs using the hot injection method. We also demonstrate a modified liquid/air interfacial assembly of π-SnS QDs to fabricate thin-film field-effect transistors (FET). This investigation will provide insights into the factors influencing the formation of different phases of SnS QDs. The successful π-SnS thin films present new opportunities for developing environmentally friendly transistors based on quantum dots.
