blue light

In recent years, many products, including eyeglasses, have been on the market that are designed to cut blue light. Blue light is considered to be blue light with wavelengths from 380 nm to 495 nm, and the peak sensitivity of S-cones is around 440 nm, so blue light cutoff may affect color discrimination. In this study, we examined the effect of using blue light cut lenses on human color recognition characteristics. Since our previous study suggested the possibility of color adaptation, we considered color adaptation.
