Presently, various microwave sensors have been reported for application to analysis of biological components because of its non-destructive sensing capability, but the challenge is to achieve high sensitivity for measurement in the physiological concentration range. We propose a highly sensitive method of measuring component concentrations using a microwave dielectric resonator composed of a stimuli-responsive hydrogel. We report the quantitative evaluation of glucose and the assessment of the impact of contaminants on measurement.
