In this study, we propose a novel structural concept to improve the strain-conductive performance of stretchable metal nanowire electrodes. The electrodes developed by this concept demonstrate enhanced performance compared with the pristine metal nanowire electrodes under tensile strain. In addition, we investigate the microscale morphology of the developed electrode with a novel structure and the fundamental mechanism underlying the performance improvement via the concept.
