Guided-mode resonance mirror exhibits a reflection phase change up to 2π in the resonance wavelength band. This characteristic is suitable for laser external mirror for surface mounting light source in optical circuits. Besides oscillation wavelength control, to obtain waveguide optical input coupling and mitigation of mounting accuracy, cavity-resonator-integrated guided-mode resonance mirror (CRIGM) is considered. In this application, a narrow wavelength band of the reflection phase change of CRIGM is desirable. Therefore, we have devised guided-mode resonance mirror with compound waveguide cavity.
