Graphene has a special property that lattice strain induces quasi-gauge field. Theoretical studies have shown that this property allow us to control conduction properties of graphene, such as the generation of conduction gaps. In this study, we fabricate a device that can vary the amount of strain in a single graphene sample using a piezoelectric device, and clarify the effect of strain on the properties of graphene.
