Fluorescent nanodiamonds (F-NDs) have been expected to be implemented as fluorescent probes and single photon sources. Although we demonstrated mass production of the F-NDs using a detonation process recently, the as-received products include non-fluorescent NDs (NF-NDs). In this study, we focused on the optical manipulation of nanomaterials by laser-induced optical force. The optical force applied to the nanomaterials is enhanced by the resonance of the electronic levels. As a result of the irradiation of the resonant light of the F-NDs to the water dispersion of the detonation products, the F-NDs were concentrated owing to the difference in applied optical force between the F-NDs and NF-NDs.
