We report a tunable color filter based on Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST). By using the large change in the permittivity of GST with phase, we can dynamically tune between two different colors. In addition, by changing the crystallization fraction of GST, we can gradually tune the colors produced by the metamaterial. Further, by varying the design parameters of the metamaterial large number of colors can be generated. Overall, we generated 110 colors by changing the phase of GST and varying the design parameters. The Maximum color difference of $\Delta E_{2000}=31.9$ is achieved. Thus, the proposed dynamically tunable color filter can find potential applications in image encryption, anti-counterfeiting, and dynamic displays.
