We are addressing a large-diameter single crystal laser medium as an option for a high-power laser beyond 10 kW. In our work, we developed single crystal laser composite with a diameter of 50 mm, composed of 5 atm.% doped Yb:YAG and non-doped YAG single crystals with less optical distortion. In a presentation, a development of a large laser medium single crystal via TSMG and Cz methods, and a development of a laser crystal composite with suppressed voids at a bonded interface will be presented.
