Ultrashort pulsed laser technologies have attracted significant interest in recent times. We fabricated thin films of tellurium (Te), well-known for its helical crystal structure with significant anisotropy, and investigated the influence of both linearly and circularly polarized ultrashort pulsed laser irradiation on the crystal structure. The electron diffraction pattern showed that, by irradiating a linearly polarized light, a helical axis (c-axis) of Te crystal uniformly points in one direction. We will provide more details about the results during our presentation.
