Synthetic polymer receptors were synthesized by molecular imprinting methodology which is copolymerization of functional monomer bearing functional group(s) for interacring with target molecule, comonomer and cross-linking monomer in the presence of target molecule, and followed by removal of template molecule. For highly sensitive sensing of prteins in meat, protein-imprinted polymer nanogels were desined and synthesized. The protein sensing properties of the prepared materials were investigated. Detailed characterization will be discussed.
