Low-power optical interconnection is required. A flexible transmitter that performs multi-level modulation and waveform shaping using a segmented optical modulator has been investigated to eliminate an electric DAC, which consumes high power. However, the delay generation required for phase matching between optical and electrical signals complicates the electronic circuits. In this study, we proposed a flexible transmitter that does not require delay generation using a parallel optical modulator and verified its operation by simulation.
