Atmospheric pressure plasma,Nitrogen Fixation

Around half of the increasingly numerous and affluent global population is sustained by mineral fertilizers processed through nitrogen fixation, which is fully dependent on fossil fuels at the current state; thus, must be changed to a sustainable system. Authors have been demonstrated nitrogen fertilization of air-derived anhydride of nitric acid (dinitrogen pentoxide). Our coherent arguments are that utilization of air-derived reactive species for sterilization/inactivation and induction of plant disease resistance bring added value to air atmospheric pressure plasma device in farming field. Overview of our works on atmospheric pressure air plasma techniques for reactive species control and its agricultural application will be presented.
