Among layered copper oxides containing Pr, it bacome clear that only Pr247 exhibits bulk superconductivity, and that the superconductivity is driven by CuO double chain. On the other hand, there is still room for improvement in the quality of Pr247 samples for a detailed understanding of physical properties. In addition to reporting the results of precise investigation of the oxygen nonstoichiometry of Pr oxide and the stability conditions of the phases, the physical properties of the sample prepared based on this will be also shown.
