The application of superhydrophobicity to glass has great potential for industrial applications. Many previous studies on the application of superhydrophobicity to glass by laser processing have used simple laser microfabrication and hazardous and complicated post-processing. In this study, we aim to create microstructures suitable for water repellency by laser processing and to make glass superhydrophobic in a simple, human- and environmentally-safe manner without resorting to hazardous and complicated post-processing.
