The development of lead-free piezoelectric ceramics is demanded for environmental protection. (Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3 (BNT) is one of the candidate materials because of its relatively high piezoelectric properties. However, there are still some problems such as high sintering temperature. To address this issue, we propose the addition of NaCu2.5Ti4.5O12 (abbreviated as NCT), and have studied how the NCT influences the low-temperature sintering and electrical properties of BNT. As a result, we have confirmed that the addition of NCT enables the low-temperature sintering of BNT, without deteriorating its piezoelectric properties.
