Major nations are promoting quantum computing in their technology strategies, while IT giants are accelerating their research and development towards practical applications. In this talk, we will introduce IBM's efforts from three perspectives of hardware, software, and applications. Observing continuous improvements in hardware and evolution in theory and software such as error mitigation, we will discuss the possibility of achieving quantum advantage before fault-tolerance.
