In April 2021, the government formulated the "Materials Innovation Strategy", the first national strategy in the materials field in about 16 years, and is strongly conducting action plans to create materials innovation. This presentation will introduce the government's initiatives based on the Materials Innovation Strategy, focusing on efforts to enable "data-driven materials research and development" all over Japan.
