A optical wave microphone, which does not use a vibrating plate for sound detection but uses minute changes in laser light, can be used for measurement in electric and magnetic fields without disturbing the sound field. In this study, we aim to estimate the direction of arrival of sound using this optical wave microphone, and are investigating the direct imaging of weak diffracted light produced by phase modulation using a Raspberry Pi camera. The sound information is obtained by the difference between the images taken without and with incident sound waves.
