We present the preparation of polarization maintaining tellurite glass optical fibers for the mid-infrared supercontinuum generation. We have successfully fabricated a flat-core optical fiber using 78TeO2-7ZnO-12Li2O-3Bi2O3(mol%) for the core and 67TeO2-18ZnO-12K2O-3Bi2O3(mol%) glass for the cladding. The birefringence of the fabricated optical fiber is 6.9×10-5 at a wavelength of 1.54 µm by numerical simulations.
