Using semiconductor formed micro-wells and artificial lipid bilayers, we aim to develop nano-biodevices that enable functional analysis of membrane proteins. If the phase-separated structure of the ordered liquid phase (Lo)/disordered liquid phase (Ld) can be controlled at the lipid bilayer suspended over microwells, it is expected to functionalize membrane proteins, but the mechanism of Lo phase domain stabilization is still under discussion. In this study, we focused on the film thickness of the microwells and investigated its effect on the Lo phase domain.
