Compound semiconductor high-Q 2D photonic crystal (PhC) nanocavities operating on glass are important for developing robust, high-performance nanolasers and quantum light sources. Previously, we reported that the Q-factor of heterostructured PhC nanocavities on glass can be significantly enhanced by a certain thickness of the top glass film, enabling high Q-factors in structures with glass thin films on top of heterostructured PhC nanocavities. In this report, we consider similar structures for several point-defect glass nanocavities and analyze the effect of glass thin film loading by numerical simulation.
