In biosensing and bioimaging, a method using Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) has been proposed, and efforts are being made to increase sensitivity by optical resonance. Our group focuses on the Mie resonance of silicon (Si) nanoparticles with a high refractive index (n~4) as nanoparticles that exhibit resonance in the visible region. In this presentation, we attempted to control FRET by Mie resonance with Si nanoparticles modified with donor-acceptor fluorescent molecules.
