The 2-dimensional 256-channel MPPC array combined with YGAG scintillator array detector was developed. The CT imaging experimental setup is to estimate the contrast agent concentration that will be useful in medical CT images. The 2D detector was chosen to make shorten imaging time compared with the 1D detector array, which also impacts reducing the radiation exposure as an important factor for medical imaging. The preliminary result shows that we successfully obtained a 3D CT image with 5 mg/mL of iodine sample. The measurement time is around ten times faster compared with the 1D vertical detector array (in case using the same sample size and exposure time) because the 1D detector array not only needs to rotate the sample but also displacement the sample horizontally. We will briefly report the result of the quantitative evaluation.
