Enzyme-based biosensors can be used under normal temperature and pressure conditions and have substrate specificity, making it possible to measure the target molecule with high discrimination accuracy from body fluids containing a large number of foreign substances. We have developed a self-powered enzyme sensor that utilizes the mechanism of enzyme power generation, and has also succeeded in developing a needle-type enzyme electrode that can generate electricity from blood vessels. In this presentation, I will report on the development of a needle-based biosensor for plants and a device for monitoring sugar transport.
