Infrared laser deposition, which enables on-demand deposition of, for example, a limited material not commercially available as effectively as the existing pulsed laser deposition, is a useful technique toward exploration of thin films and new materials, especially of soft molecular materials. In this presentaion, the basics and applications of the infrared laser deposition will be introduced along with experimental examples to the researchers who are interested in and ready to adopt it near the future and/or even those who are not so familiar with this method.
