We compared calculation speed and memory usage of Geant4, EGSnrc, and PHITS in X-ray dose calculation. Parameters were set so that the calculation results of each dose calculation application matched. For Geant4 and PHITS, we measured the calculation speed and memory usage for each number of processes in multi-process mode and multi-threaded mode. We discuss parallelization methods and computational resources for dose calculations based on the measurement results.
