A solid-state nanopore is a nanometer-sized pore formed in a solid membrane on a silicon substrate, which is widely studied as a sensor for detecting biomolecules and particles. In this research, single-particle measurements were performed in glycerol, which has higher viscosity than water. As a result, significantly asymmetric ion current signals were observed. In the presentation, we will report on the mechanism of single-particle electrophoretic dynamics inferred from the current signal waveform.
