Several liquid crystal (LC) metasurface-based millimeter wave absorbers have been proposed so far. In this work, we propose an LC millimeter wave absorber with a see-through function for visible light. We fabricated the LC absorbers by combining a periodic grid pattern (Al)/glass and plane electrode (ITO)/glass substrates. Absorption properties for a millimeter wave (70 GHz) are discussed.
