JAB (Japan Accreditation Board) started to develop ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation program for laboratories providing personal dosimetry services using ionizing radiation dosimeters from 2017 at the request of the Nuclear Regulation Authority. After the establishment of the accreditation criteria document by the technical committee, JAB started accepting applications for the accreditation from July 2018. In the lecture, the history of the development of the accreditation program, the scope of accreditation, technical criteria for accreditation, and an overview of accreditation achievements will be introduced.
