We consider solution plasma as one of the clean hydrogen production technologies, and in this study, we investigated the gasification behavior of short-chain monohydric alcohols in solution plasma. As a result, regardless of the type of alcohol, H2 and CO were produced in a ratio of about 2/1, and the production of other gases was small. Oxidative decomposition with water-derived OH radicals was proposed as a reaction mechanism that consistently explains this experimental result.
