Plasmon nanofocusing is a phenomenon that can generate near-field enhanced light in broadband wavelengths compared to plasmon resonance because it is based on plasmon propagation. In this study, plasmon nanofocusing was applied to the light absorption sensing. A tapered silver structure with a slit as a coupling structure was illuminated with a white light source, and the absorption spectrum of three different analytes with different absorption peaks was successfully measured using the broadband enhanced light field generated by plasmon nanofocusing.
