Electrochemical deposition is essential to fabricate magnetic materials for next-generation information storage memory, such as three-dimensional magnetic domain wall motion memory (3D-DWMM). In 3D-DWMM, spin-orbit torque (SOT)-induced magnetization switching is used as a writing operation. Consequently, it is crucial to demonstrate SOT in an electrochemically deposited ferromagnetic layer formed on a heavy metal layer. In the previous work, the authors successfully fabricated ultrathin CoPt films with strong perpendicular magnetic anisotropy with electrochemical deposition. In this study, the authors perform a second harmonic Hall measurement for the electrochemically deposited CoPt film on the Pt layer to detect SOT. Initially, the authors confirmed the anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in the CoPt/Pt Hall bar. Subsequently, the first and second harmonic voltage signals were obtained with ac current flowing under longitudinal and transversal magnetic fields. The results will be presented.
