Optical wireless power transmission using lasers and solar cells is expected to be a new energy transmission technology for the moving objects such as electric vehicles. In this study, we examined the possibility of improving the efficiency of underwater optical wireless power transmission using the visible laser lights, which have little absorption underwater, and the GaInP solar cells that efficiently receive the wavelength light. As a result, the highest photoelectric conversion efficiencies were obtained 33.9% for the 532 nm fiber laser at 200 mW and 46.8% for the 638 nm semiconductor laser at 70-90 mW, respectively.
