Considering a recent rapid decline in the price of renewable energy, electrochemical CO2 reduction (CO2 eletrolysis) is attractive for conversion of CO2 to ethylene that is one of the key raw materials for chemical products. In this study, we design reaction environment for highly selective ethylene production by integrating control of the reaction environment and nanostructural control of catalysts.
