When organic semiconductor materials are vacuum deposited on a substrate, the dipole moment (PDM) can be partially oriented, resulting in a giant surface potential (GSP). This phenomenon is known as spontaneous orientation polarization (SOP). In this study, we focused on carbazole dendrimers. Carbazole dendrimers have high glass transition temperature and large dipole moment due to the location of polar monomers in a dendritic fashion. We have studied the SOP of carbazole dendrimer by introducing fluorinated substituents at the terminal of the inner or outer layer.
