HASClay, developed as an heat storage material for use in an excellent energy-saving system, is a composite material made of amorphous aluminum silicate and low-crystalline clay, and can repeatedly store and release low-temperature heat by adsorbing and desorbing moisture, but the relationship between moisture adsorption/desorption and the internal structure has not been clarified. Therefore, in this study, we aim to clarify the change in the internal structure accompanying moisture adsorption/desorption by X-ray CT measurement using synchrotron radiation X-rays and small-angle X-ray scattering.
