Solar Photovoltaics are expected to contibute as major energy system with 75TW in 2050. In order to realize such a vision and roadmap, development of high-efficiency solar solar cell modules are necessary. Howeveer, efficiencies of Si solar cells are approaving to efficiency limit (29.4%) and thus multi-junctuon and Si tandem solar cells are expected to realize higher efficiency and low cost. High-efficincy potential of various tandem solar cells such as III-V, II-VI, CIGS and perovskite is discussed. Potential of solar-powered vehicles installed with our III-V/Si 3-junction solar cell module (33.7%), perovskite/Si 2-junction solar cell module (28.6%) and various single-junction solar cell modules is also discussed. .
